Managing the Course Library

The Course Library displays all courses built, uploaded or activated for use in your Company. From the Course Library, you can:

  • Add a new course
  • Preview a course
  • Edit a course
  • Duplicate a course
  • Archive a course

Accessing the Course Library

The Course Library is accessed from Company Settings > Library. To access the library, you need to be a Company Administrator.

Company Settings - Course Library

Adding a new course

Courses can be added to the Course Library using the +New Training option at the top of the Course Library screen.

New courses can be created in one of three ways. They can be created using the Course Builder in Xemplo, imported from an external source, or selected from our library of courses offered in Xemplo Expert.

Find out more about:

Preview a course

Once you have added a course to the library, you can preview the course to experience what a worker finishing the course will need to do to successfully complete the activity.

You can preview courses built with the Xemplo Course Builder, or courses you've uploaded, from the Course Library. Courses from the Xemplo Expert Library can be previewed when enrolling workers in a course

To preview a course, select the Preview option on the three-dot menu for a course.

Previewing a course built with the Course Builder

When you preview a course built with the Course Builder, you will be taken to the course to complete it in 'preview' mode. This means that you can answer questions and complete assessments in the same way that a worker completing the course would, but results are not saved or stored.

For guidance on completing a course, check out the worker's guide to completing a course in Xemplo

Previewing an uploaded course (e.g. a SCORM course)

When you preview a course uploaded to Xemplo from an external source, an external e-Learning player (a SCORM player) will open and allow you to preview the e-Learning activity. This means that you can answer questions and complete assessments in the same way that a worker completing the course would, but results are not saved or stored.

For guidance on completing a course, check out the worker's guide to completing a course in Xemplo
