With Xemplo Performance, you can effortlessly create performance reviews to track and measure workforce results. Xemplo Performance offers a flexible, user-friendly solution for targeted performance analysis and improvement.
Setup different types of reviews and add required competencies to your positions and organisation structure, and Xemplo Performance does the rest. Xemplo automatically creates performance reviews based on a worker's role and assigns these to the worker and a nominated reviewer to complete. All performance review activity is tracked, with alerts and notifications to the worker and required stakeholders until an activity is successfully completed.
To get started with Xemplo Performance, you need to:
- Create your review types
- Add responsibilities and skills to positions in your organisation structure
- Create performance reviews for required workers
- Set goals and KPIs for individual performance measurement (if required)
- Track performance review activity
1. Create review types
The foundation of Xemplo Performance is Review Types. You can create an unlimited number of review types that define:
- The activities included in a review - you can optionally include and measure individual performance for the following activities in a review:
- Responsibilities associated with their position;
- Skills associated with their position;
- Agreed Goals and KPIs, and;
- Custom performance measures specific to your business.
- Whether a Performance Review includes a self-evaluation by the individual, or is completed by a reviewer only
- Visibility rules, such as when the individual worker and reviewer can view each other's responses.
Once review types are defined, you can create Performance Reviews for your team based on a review type. When creating a Performance Review based on a defined type, Xemplo will automatically populate all sections of the Performance Review for an individual based on your configured rules and the worker's position, goals, and any custom measures you have defined for the review type.
2. Add responsibilities and skills to positions in your organisation structure
Performance Reviews are automatically populated for an individual based on the responsibilities and skills associated with their position in Xemplo, delivering the following benefits:
- Reduced administrative effort for your team - Xemplo creates customised, targeted performance reviews for each individual in your team automatically.
- Keeps performance reviews targeted to a common criteria for all workers in your team - while responsibilities and skills vary by role, all team members are evaluated using the same performance methodology to encourage constructive role-based feedback and eliminate bias.

3. Create Performance Reviews for required workers
Once you've created review types and added responsibilities and skills to all positions in your organisation structure, you can create Performance Reviews for one or more team members at once from the Workers or Performance screen.
Performance Reviews are created based on a selected type and will automatically populate all required information for an individual based on their role and the type of review being conducted.
4. Set goals and KPIs for individual performance
In addition to role-based measurement, you can optionally add goals for an individual worker and measure performance against agreed goals as part of a performance review.
Goals are linked to a worker's profile and allow an individual and their Manager to:
- Create specific goals and targets for a defined period;
- Align goals with overall company goals;
- Track all key objectives and performance indicators linked to a goal and send reminders about goal completion and progress;
- Measure goal activity and completion for both individual and company-wide performance.
5. Track performance review activity
Xemplo Performance includes comprehensive measurement and visualisation of both individual and team results. With Xemplo Performance, you can measure and track:
- Individual performance results and trends over time;
- Company-wide performance and variance over time;
- Activity and results for a specific review type - for example, analysis of results for all Probation Reviews, if configured.
