For complex payment or charging terms that need streamlining, a rate template enables you to establish them once for repeated use. You can customise multiple templates to accommodate various arrangements. For instance, if you need to manage payments and charges for overtime, shifts, weekend work, allowances, etc., a rate template helps you define the processing rules.
Note: This applies to a company administrator who manages its processes and is responsible for creating rate templates that can be used for the assignment.
Create a New Rate Template
- Log in as the Administrator
- Navigate to Timesheets → Rate templates → New Rate Template. You will then see the below pop-up window
- Enter the required fields and click Save
Template Name
This should be named for easy reference to what is included in the template. Examples include Award - Classification, Host Client - Job Title.
Timesheet Schedule
Allowance Units Rounded
This provides options for rounding the allowance units. You can choose to use actual units, round up, or round down.
Pay Structure
There are three options to select from: Hour, Day, and Month, which determine how the rates will be applied.
Rules
A rule specifies how to separate the days based on what needs to be paid or when these items should be paid.
Once the configuration of the rate template is completed, engagements need to be set up as presented in this guide, Engagements.
