With the Xemplo Background Checks feature, you can request background checks from a third-party integration partner automatically from your Xemplo software.

You can request background checks for a worker and track the progress of previously requested checks from a Workers Profile. Background checks can be requested from Worker > Credentials > Background Checks.
Requesting a background check for a worker
To request a background check:
- Select a worker, then go to Credentials > Background Checks.
- Select the Request check option.
- A list of available background checks will display. Select the required check, and select Save.
- Once a check has been requested, the request will appear in the Worker profile, where you can track progress and completion.
When requesting a check from a provider via Xemplo, Xemplo provides a limited amount of information about the worker to the provider to process the request. Information provided includes:
- Worker information - First Name, Last Name
- Worker email address
- The type of check being requested
Once a background has been requested for a worker, the worker will be contacted directly by the background check provider to supply any additional information required for the requested check.
Please note: Xemplo will not contact the worker on behalf of the background checking provider - all communication with a worker required to complete a background check is the responsibility of the background check provider. |
Tracking a background check request
As a background check request progresses, the status of the check will be updated in the Worker's profile in real-time via the integration with the provider. When the request is completed, the check will be marked as Completed and the results will be sent directly to the contact listed on your account with the background checking provider. Results of a background check are not currently stored in Xemplo.
Please note: Some background checks may take significant time to process, depending on the nature of the check. Please check the expected processing time for specific check types with the background checking provider directly. |
