Payroll Managers and Administrators can add Notes during the preparation of a Pay Run. These notes appear in the change log for both Payroll and Company Administrators.
Adding and viewing notes added to a pay run
| The following guidance is for Payroll Managers and Payroll Administrators. |
Payroll Managers and Administrators can add Pay Run Notes after a Pay Run has been completed by following the steps below. Notes added to a Pay Run can be viewed by a Company Payroll Administrator when actioning the Pay Run.
On the pay run prepare page, if the pay run is correct, click the Complete button.
A modal will appear to enter notes (optional). Enter any notes, then click Yes to complete the pay run preparation.
To view previously added notes, go to Changelog menu option
The notes will appear alongside the Pay Run detail.
| Please Note: The payroll manager can add notes to the pay run each time it reaches the prepare stage, including after a rejection by the company administrator and subsequent re-preparation. |
Viewing Notes added to a Pay Run

A Company Administrator can review any notes added when actioning (approving or rejecting) the pay run.
To view notes from your Payroll Manager or Payroll Administrator, go to the Changelog tab.
